A Sneaky Peak into my upcoming I AM JOURNAL, Connection, Creativity, Clarity

I have dedicated the I AM JOURNAL, Connection, Creativity, Clarity to my mother, who passed this time last year. She was 90 years old and had a rich life, and I can see now she was a bit of a rebel in her own way.  She was a determined woman and a creative soul at heart.

I am realising the gifts my mother gave me.  As they say, actions speak louder than words. It was in her actions that my Mother was teaching me, not necessarily with the loving words she spoke.

My mother was a very down-to-earth Northerner (born in the North of England); she just got on with life, but inside, she had passion and drive. She followed what she loved, sewing doll clothes and making crafty things. She had a love of people and life, and a smile. She would talk to anyone she met and had something to say and a comment. I see now she was a connector. Oh, I didn’t mention that along the way, she managed to fit in having 6 children.

Her mission was to make people smile when she had gifted them something, a knitted tea cosy, a cotton bag, and she had a whole range of creative offerings.

  1. Do what you love?

  2. Just be yourself - we all have our own uniqueness - claim it!

  3. Be spontaneous, life is short - go on more adventures and say yes to opportunities in life

  4. The importance of a creative hobby - or becoming the creative soul you really are

  5. Be loving and kind to yourself and others, and give hugs! (My mother was a hugger.)

In my I AM journal - I share my keys to life: Connection, Creativity, Clarity

It is only in retrospect that I see the gifts my mother gave me, the power and resilience to change my life, especially during times of adversity, and to live life in the moment and be who I am.
