Happy Father's Day

Happy Father’s Day

Norman Readman . A Story of a Granddad

Well, we can always think about our Father’s on any day of the week, not just on Father’s Day.  I often send a quick prayer to my Dad who has been off the earth place for nearly 20 years. I always imagine he is around and helping me out in some way or another. I often send him a prayer or ask for some extra help. Just a simple thought is enough to connect.
So let’s not leave it just for Father’s Day to say thank you to our Dad’s and parents generally. Always send them some forgiveness and love for something or another, they said or did when you were a child.  Now we are adults, we can have a wider perspective on life and the challenges they had, as we in life gather our own challenges.
Thank you, Dad, for being you, just sorry we didn’t have more time together to get to know each other.  It’s never too late to make it up with a parent, write them a letter, tell them what you think and above all send love in your prayers and thoughts. Thoughts, as we know, are so powerful, we have the energy to change our feelings and therefore the feelings we send to others.
The loss of a loved one is always difficult, but it is worth remembering that people never really leave us as they will be forever in our hearts. The attached book you can download for free is a story of a Grandad (My Dad) you following his uplifting journey of love and loss. My sister Christine wrote this story about our Dad, for the Grandchildren, and I did a quick scribble of the characters as my Mum wanted to keep and share the story about the man she had and will always love.
To all the Dad’s on Father’s Day. May we all remember them with love and gratitude.
Blessings and Gratitude to my father, Norman William Readman
